The best gluten and dairy free cake recipe!

I hope this recipe becomes a special part of your celebrations too ūü•≥

I created this recipe from an old family recipe. It can also be made with regular flour and dairy. 


1 2/3 cup granulated sugar 

3/4 cup dairy free butter softened (I use earth balance) 

3 large eggs 

1 tbsp vanilla 

1 cup oat milk 

2.5 cups gluten free flour (I use Bob Red Mill 1:1) 

2.5 tsp baking powder 

1 tsp salt 


Preheat the oven to 350. Grease and flour 2 round cake pans.

In a bowl with an electric mixer, combine the sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Add in flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined. Then mix in oat milk until well combined. Evenly divide the cake batter into 2 cake pans and bake for 30 min or until golden on top. Allow the cakes to cool before icing. 

Vanilla Icing: With an electric mixer, mix together 1.5 cups dairy free butter (softened), 5 cups powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, 1/2 tsp almond extract, and 1/4 cup of oat milk. Mix all of the ingredients until they are well combined and smooth. Ice and decorate your cake!
